During this approximately 90-minute tour, you'll visit one of Washington's most beautiful Beaux-Arts landmarks. The headquarters of the Organization of American States (OAS), the world's oldest regional international organization, serves as a forum for cooperation among the nations of the Americas. Pablo Zúñiga, former Director of the Art Museum of the Americas, will be our docent.
Built in 1910 with major funding from Andrew Carnegie, the OAS headquarters is also home to the historic Peace Tree, planted by President William Howard Taft and still flourishing in the stately courtyard.
Accessibility: Attendees requiring step-free access to the main building will be met by Village member Anna Chisman and escorted to the accessible entrance. Please contact the Village office at (202) 333-1327 if you require this accommodation.
