On Friday, October 23 at 1:00, join us in the large meeting room at the West End Library, for a discussion of important issues that are involved in the mid-term elections to be held on November 3.
Trev Neve will discuss the measures the administration has been taking, and might yet take, to sabotage the concept of free and fair elections to ensure outcomes favorable to the Republicans. Such measures include controlling elections from the federal level to prevent voting by certain groups. The discussion will also address efforts by Democrats, led by Senator Schumer and others, to identify all such measures the administration might credibly take, and to develop counter measures for them.
Michael Thomas will discuss the issues that divide Democrats, and complicate their efforts to present a united front going into these elections. Those include the Democratic Socialist Party, and the US relationship with Israel and Palestine.
