Please join the Foggy Bottom West End Village for a fun and fascinating presentation by photographer Rena Schild who will discuss her work in sports photography including what goes into making a compelling sports image. She also will tell the stories behind some of her images. After the talking portion of the program, she will present a slide show of her images from a variety of sports ranging from children’s sports to pro events.
Rena has been interested in photography since she received a film camera as a college graduation gift but was sidelined by the practice of law until she had time to take some photography courses later in her career. She then began experimenting with many types of photography, including family portraits, events, red carpet, sports, fine art and most recently bird photography. Rena currently is happiest capturing athletes and birds in motion but thoroughly enjoys all photography.
