When the world feels noisy, uncertain, or overwhelming, it helps to have a steady place to pause and reflect.
This on-going group focuses on mindset and emotional steadiness - exploring practical ways to calm the mind, manage difficult emotions, and respond thoughtfully rather than reactively to daily stressors and current events.
Brief readings from Jon Kabat-Zinn's Mindfulness for Beginners will provide gentle structure and open discussion. The book is optional.
As we strengthen our own steadiness, we often find it influences the tone of our conversations, our relationships, and the spaces we move through - small shifts that can ripple outward in meaningful ways. Regular attendance is encouraged to foster continuity and trust, and respect for confidentiality will help create a safe and supportive environment. Limited to 10 participants. New members may join as space allows.
The group will be co-led by Madelaine C. Weiss, LICSW, MBA, BCC and Hal Bordy, MB, MSSA, FBWE Village Executive Director.
