Many Villagers have expressed their desire to have current events discussions. In response, the Village Program Committee has suggested that interested members might wish to create an Affinity Group and set up monthly meetings at the West End Public Library for this purpose. To get this off the ground, Sue Headlee, retired professor from American University, has volunteered to run the first session. She will bring in articles from the Washington Post and the New York Times to get the discussion going.
Also at this first meeting, we will be looking for other people to get the discussion started in February and the following months.
At future monthly meetings, Villagers who wish to participate will be asked to bring in issues, ideas, and questions that they have about current events.
Join your fellow Villagers for interesting and informative monthly discussions on current events!
